This will be Coach Wimberley's 7th year as the head coach for the Sr. High boys basketball team. Coach Wimberley has been very successful here at Manila. He spent 2002-2009 coaching at Wynne High School as the assistant coach for the Sr. High boys basketball team. He then coached from 2009-2012 at Cabot High School as assistant boys basketball coach for Sr. High. Both teams at Cabot and Wynne made the state tournament.

Coach Wimberley's overall coaching record here at Manila is 100-49 and his conference record is 46-18 in the 3A-3 conference. He has coached here since the 2012-2013 season and has done an amazing job with our athletics program. He received the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 Coach of the Year Award for the 3A-3 conference. He was also a member of the AAA all-star coaching staff in 2014.
